May your dreams be kind to you tonight

May the setting sun sing you a song so sweet

It carries the cares and burdens of the day to rest beyond the horizon

I leave too

With this final light of day

My final note sung

My last race done

But as the setting sun carries with it memories of your dance and play

I too take only the best of our times together:

The sweet warmth of your forgiveness

The giddy high of your praise

The refreshing surprise of your mischief

The depth of your love that knew no end

Sing me a song at the setting of the sun
